INDIVIDUAL REFLECTIONS

Sandra Daniela Alvarado Huerta:


It’s really sad that some teachers here in México don’t even care about their student´s learning and don’t use any kind of methodologies or strategies to teach or even have a lesson plan, in my opinion is really important that all the teachers know how to apply methodologies and some strategies to teach the students, also take in count the different learning styles and multiple intelligences because applying these things in a class can make a big difference in the student´s learning and also make the class more dynamic and interesting for the kids, this is another factor that I think that is really important, make the students feel interest in the class, keep them motivated guaranty a better learning because they can see that learning a second language it´s not boring and that is easy and fun and also is very important for their future because now days learn English is not a luxury, is a necessity. Be a teacher is a big responsibility and its obvious that it is not an easy work but I believe that if you have a knowledge about all these topics and also understand how the environment can affect the students learning the teacher can make a classroom were the students feel comfortable and in that way they are going to be better learners.




Diana Tadeo Carrillo Blanco:
This Final Project was an amazing experience because I had the opportunity to know more about how can teach better and no comet the same mistakes that some teachers make when they are teaching. When I went to the school to observe a class I saw that the teacher didn’t use a specific methodology, I mean the teacher didn’t have any sense of responsibility with the students.
Some of my classes in this 3rd semester teach me how can be more sensible with my students because they are in a special stage or simply because I’m teaching something totally new.
Is so important that the teacher knows about how students acquire a second language, or according with their learning style, find out the best way to teach them, because not all the students learn in the same manner. Some of them can learn by auditory, kinesthetic or learn by images, one of them likes work in teams but others prefer work alone, and the teacher must control the behavior in class but gently and try to understand the situation or environment in what they live.
The teacher has a big responsibility with the students because they spend a lot of time at school, and is like their second house. As teachers we have to create good habits in our students and give the best of us every day. We are an example for them so if we are good teachers they will be good students too. But if we really want to be a good teacher we have to know about some important methodologies and choose the ones that we think are better for our students. We have to make a compromise about what we are studying and put all our effort to achieve successfully our commitment, but not only with us otherwise with the students because they trust us to learn something.





Mayra Guadalupe Gallegos Vazquez:


With this class I learned that being a better teacher depends on the individual and interest that takes each of the classes taught and effort to give each and the interest you have in each of his students have perform better in their classes and in his person. In this observation I learned a lot about how to teach a class as a future teacher. With this project I learned the importance of developing all the skills that each one of the students and adapt each of the lesson plans and methods for each of the students have and after they are going to be a good learners develop each one of their skills that can find in our class, this time dealing with adolescents was somewhat difficult, but something that I serve in the future when I can find with this type of situation for better performance in class, in addition to trying to understand each of them and carry out a dynamic class. But as future teachers have a great responsibility in education but it depends on each one of us to be good teachers.




Ana Patricia Gutiérrez Duarte:


Now days learning English is considered a necessity. We can say that English is the universal language. Teachers have the responsibility to be prepared, is not easy to teach a language even if is your mother tongue.For Spanish speakers is harder because we learned the language too.
Thinking of our students, kids, teenagers, adults, any student, we have to make the class according to their class profile, we cannot enter a classroom and start teaching a topic, we don’t know what kind of activities our students like or what
they are good in. that’s the reason we have to consider the multiple intelligences that our students posses and their different learning styles. We also like teachers have to have a specific methodology for teaching, we can make a mixture but taking into an account what I already mentioned before. The teacher we observed wasn’t prepared he didn’t had a plan to follow; I think that these kind of people should not be working yet until they are totally prepared. That’s why us like students have to learn and catch the best knowledge form our teachers and learn from others mistakes to be a better English teacher in a future.

Gerardo Agustin Villarreal Ibarra

In this final project in which I participed, I discovered through the observation made that teach an English class is not as difficult as it seems for many including myself. The reason for this is that to become a great English teacher just have to have self-control and planning and following out plan. What I mention is because today there are teachers who not follow the plan you should follow and just do it for work, not to teach. Meany of them do not understand that technology not only working but there are training materials which many do not use and therefore also do not use different learning methods. The behavior of children is a major factor for the class to be successful. You have to motivate them; students discover the different learning styles with which they can learn more effectively and quickly. Discover multiple intelligences in which students have this ability in order for learners interested in learning the second language and so this way the teacher organizes fun and dynamic classes.

With all this I can say that I really want to become a great teacher.

Globalized processes in all aspects of human development require an understanding and development in the English language.

For this reason it is important how as future teachers of the language, we know the needs, skills and motivation of our students. The knowledge of these important aspects, will allow that we can implement the best methodologies; that we apply learning techniques according to the way in which students at different stages of their life; that we can understand and use their different learning styles, as well as their types of intelligence

Through the observation of this class I noticed that the teaching profession is no piece of cake, and that you need accurate knowledge and attitude to have a acceptably performance.

Semester after semester and thanks to final projects, our outlook grows.
